The Power of Green!

I found these beautiful green Fritz and Floyd dishes at a local novelty store. The. second I sew them, I thought....Christmas. I continue to build everything around that beautiful deep dark forrest green. I let that guide me throughout my process, because there was no way I wasn't going to use those gorgeous plates! I thought red for obvious reasons, but wavered back and fourth on the color for quite a bit. The obvious Christmas red tartan against the green plates or a blue tartan ( the exact tartan my grade school uniform was made of!

However, Once I received the red cardinals, my decision was made! I went with the red tartan and wrapped each napkin in dark green velvet ribbon topped with the sweet little red cardinal. I don't think you can ever have enough garland during the holidays! There is so much you can do with it! This is Ceder Fresh Christmas garland, which smells like heaven.
